STRUKTUR FOUNDER

The Struktur Event creative conference was co founded by Michelle Rose and Sam Ward, design leaders from the performance apparel and interactive design industries. Together with the most dedicated team of leaders, advisors, sponsors, and volunteers, the Struktur team has been building a connected, supportive, innovative, and fun environment for creatives since 2013. The 2021 Struktur team is focused on bringing this incredible community online to keep us connected and help us usher in a new era.

Designer, artist, musician, martial artist and connector of creative minds, Michelle has spent 25+ years leading creative teams and designing key outerwear product for the largest and most successful outdoor companies in the world. With millions of her styles sold around the globe, if you’ve ever purchased jackets from Columbia Sportswear or The North Face, it is likely you have one her pieces in your closet…still.

In 2013, Michelle co-founded Struktur Event and Struktur Podcast as a creative resource of professional development, community, and connection for designers in the active, outdoor, and urban space. She created Struktur out her belief that artists, designers, musician, writers, etc, are the visionaries who shape our future, and from her understanding and compassion for what it means and takes to live in this world as a creative.
