Struktur Society Founder

Michelle M. Rose is a creative leader, designer, martial artist, musician, writer, podcaster, mother, and lifelong connector of creative minds. With more than 30 years of experience leading, mentoring, and developing artists across disciplines, she has built an unconventional path rooted in resilience, curiosity, disciplined practice, and a deep belief in helping people build creative identity, not just creative careers.

Her journey began on a rough road, one that led her to the martial arts, where she found focus, structure, and a philosophy for living that would shape everything that followed. While putting herself through college studying design and international business, she earned her fifth-degree black belt, building the inner discipline and clarity that would become the foundation of her leadership. That blend of grit, creative vision, and global perspective propelled her to the top of the outdoor industry, where she became one of the highest-selling design leaders at Columbia Sportswear and The North Face. Her work helped redefine what performance apparel could look and feel like for women, blending innovation, function, and cultural insight in ways that moved both product and people.

In 2013, Michelle co-founded Struktur Event, the first design conference dedicated to the outdoor, active, and urban markets, creating a space for professional growth, creative exchange, and meaningful community. Two years later, she launched the original Struktur Podcast with co-founder Sam Ward, extending those conversations into the digital realm and widening the circle of connection.

In 2021, Michelle evolved that vision into Struktur Society™, a creative leadership ecosystem for people building a distinct human body of work. Through media, membership, consultancy, learning experiences, tools, networking, podcasts, and live events, Struktur supports the development of creative identity, meaningful connection, and the practices that help people bring their work into the world.

Michelle’s work brings together self, community, and world, connecting inner center, disciplined practice, and outward expression. She helps people clarify who they are, what they make, and how they lead through their work. Through Struktur, she continues to champion a more connected, courageous, and deeply human creative path for artists, designers, writers, musicians, and multidimensional thinkers in the age of AI.
